Quilt fuse is a sheer fusible nonwoven with a printed 2" grid.  Quilt fuse simplifies the layout & design process for projects like watercolor and bargello quilting, techniques that rely on careful placement of fabric squares to create artistic visual effects, especially when viewed from a distance.

Quilt fuse acts as a design board as fabric squares cling to it, even in vertical position. Quilters can evaluate and adjust works-in-progress before the fabrics are fused, then stitched into place.

Once the design is finalized, the fabrics are lightly fused into place and stitched in long, continuous rows, assuring that all fabric squares will line up perfectly. Quilt fuse now acts as a light weight stabilizer, perfect for wall hangings & apparel applications as well.

The quilter can control the degree of stability or softness by how firmly the fabrics are fused. A light tact with iron holds swatches securely enough to be sewn, while a longer fusing time will result in a slightly firmer, more permanent hold. After all rows are stitched, the piece is ready for finishing as quilt, wall hanging, garment or other creative project.
