This is a pattern for a 6 point star, often referred to as the Star of David. Deborah Miller, the designer of this pattern, calls it a Morning Star. This pattern works with many different types of fabrics. The use of high contrast fabric on the layers will accentuate the star shape. This pattern is 8 pages long and is in full color. It also comes with one interfacing template to build the star upon.
The design uses what we call Hexie Points, a variation of a Prairie Point. The hexie point is folded to create the perfect shape to make the hexagon star. Hexie points are made by using the new Half-Hexie Ruler (item: PEP208) to cut your fabric at 60 degree angles. If you prefer to make your own ruler out of template plastic, a Half-Hexie Ruler diagram is included withthe pattern.
